Swimming is an important part of life for many people in Australia. It's important to educate yourself on how to stay safe in and around the water.

Always swim between the flags and at patrolled beaches

Before you get started, it is important you know how to be safe in the water. This includes knowing about the beach, rip currents, lifesavers and how to stay safe in the water.
